Mr. Ellis has spent over fifteen years in the renewable energy industry in various investment. business development and project development roles.
Prior to forming Excelsior Energy Capital, Mr. Ellis was Managing Director at TerraForm Power where he focused on acquisitions of large-scale operating wind and solar projects. Prior to TerraForm Power, Mr. Ellis was a Managing Director at SunEdison where he executed acquisitions of development-stage solar projects. Before joining SunEdison, Mr. Ellis focused on power marketing, acquisitions and project development at Element Power. Mr Ellis also spent time in Washington D.C. where he was a political appointee at the World Bank and the U.S. Export-Import Bank. Mr. Ellis has over $1 billion in wind and solar transaction experience.
Mr. Ellis received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Bowdoin College.
